Expansion Update: Tennessee ❤️’s Instacart
Instacart’s vision is to allow everyone across the country to get the groceries they love, from the retailers they trust, delivered to their homes.
Recently we announced a plan to expand our service aggressively across the heartland of America to serve 80% of Americans with Instacart delivery by 2018.
Since then we’ve launched Instacart in many new cities like Dayton, Midland-Odessa, Daytona Beach, the Space Coast, Columbia, Hartford, Tallahassee and Charleston.
Each of these launches dramatically outperformed our expectations, and in the last two months we have hired 2,500+ shoppers in these markets alone.
Bringing Instacart to More of Tennessee
Recently we expanded our coverage dramatically in Nashville and launched service in Knoxville. We will also launch in Memphis, Chattanooga, and more cities in the next few months.
Customers love Instacart in Nashville. Within the first 4 weeks of launch, Nashville is already one of our top-30 markets, growing over 30% each week!
The response in Knoxville is just as dramatic. Knoxville customers buy more groceries in their first orders than customers in any of Instacart’s previous market launches.
